Specializing in Victorian Era Wood Sculpture and Figurative Bronze Works

About Nichols Sculpture

Craig Nichols - AC Nichols SculptureCraig Nichols—carver, sculptor, painter—provides the highest quality craftsmanship for clients throughout the United States.

In 1995 Craig developed a woodcarving and sculpture business, specializing in reproduction, design and repair of Victorian period antiques, catering to antique dealers and collectors. His work ranges from reconstruction and restoration of original pieces to the development and execution of his own designs.

In 2001 Craig began experimenting with abstract painting and, soon thereafter, sculpture in media other than wood.

Craig enjoys the challenge of working within the rigid boundaries of wood as well as the rush of limitless improvisation found in his endeavors with paint and bronze. The combination leaves him with a strong sense of balance as an artist.

Craig and his wife, Nancy, are active with animal welfare issues. They spend time volunteering with local humane organizations such as Spay & Neuter Kansas City, Wayside Waifs, and New Nodaway Humane Society, as well as sharing their lives with their own pets.
